Virtual Assessment Team Leader (Clinical)
Australia - QLD, Gold Coast

Aspire4Life are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated team leader! You will ensure achievement of all key daily activities within the Aspire4Life Virtual Assessment Service Team including the Veteran Home Care Assessment Team, Clinical Assessors and Virtual (office based) Multi Program Assessors.

You will take the lead for a team of office based assessors who are responsible for the assessment and coordination of services to eligible older Australians and veterans/war widows/widowers who wish to continue living at home. You will coordinate the delivery of services in accordance with Department of Health and Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) VHC Guidelines.

What will I be doing as the team leader?

  • Signing off on support plans using your clinical knowledge
  • Actively promote a customer-centric working environment of collaboration, cooperation, positive energy, respectful interaction, fun and teamwork
  • Identify skill gaps, personal development and training needs of team members and develop appropriate improvement plans as indicated
  • Build and maintain key internal and external stakeholder relationships and represent Aspire4Life at relevant industry events and networks
  • Actively participate in the implementation of new business programs, products, services in line with the requirements of each program to ensure success and ongoing viability of Aspire4Life
  • This position is primarily an office based role leading a team providing services virtually, however may be required to occasionally travel for in-home assessments and supervision as needed.


Need to be/have:

You will have experience in people management and be a natural leader. You thrive in leading teams in a high pressured and deadline driven workplace. You are able to cope with a frequently changing environment by being an expert planner with high level organisational skills.

You will have experience in comprehensive assessment, care planning and service coordination using a person centred approach.


What to bring?

  • Current AHPRA registration and degree qualifications in nursing or allied health (eg social worker, physiotherapist or occupational therapist) 
  • Minimum three years’ experience leading a team
  • Minimum two years’ experience in the aged or community care sector
  • Skills in service coordination and budget management
  • High level of computer literacy

  • Experience working with veterans
  • Experience and/or qualifications in aged, disability, retirement or community care or health sectors
  • Experience or qualifications in front line management
